JUSTICE BRING THE HEAT TO NYC!

After what seemed like weeks of anticipation, Justice's first show in New York at Terminal 5 occured last night to a sold out crowd. Words can't really do justice (no pun intended) to how high energy and GREAT their mainly Cross filled set was. I was extremely happy to finally see a NY audience that was not afraid to dance and get their hands in the air. They are playing again on Monday at Terminal 5 in case you missed what in my mind was an epic show. Tickets are still available.

As great as their show was, my jaw dropped when I heard the excellent news from Jaime (through his friend) that Justice would be DJing over at Studio B after their Terminal 5 show! Several friends headed over to Studio B with me and we arrived around 2 am to a pretty packed club that was already filled with some sweaty kids dancing hard to Erol Alkan. I have to give props to Erol as i was thoroughly impressed with his set and have already downloaded some free podcasts he has on iTunes.

Then, at 3am, Xavier de Rosnay hit the decks using the theme song from 2001 as his launch pad for what would be an incredible 80 minute DJ set that had me busting out moves I didn't even know I had on the dance floor. There were parts of songs played by Justice, Daft Punk, and several classic disco songs during the set and all the beats were very good. Leaving the club at 4:20am to finally go home, I felt exhausted yet ecstatic at what a truly legendary night for dance music I had just been a part of. Dance music is back and is going to take over in 2008.

Below, I have a link to live Justice DJ sets.

Enjoy...
